WHAT TO EXPECT
Miss Emily's Music School's Rock 101 program is the perfect introduction to music for kids and beginners. This exciting program focuses on the essentials of performance-based music education through a fun and engaging curriculum.
Students participate in weekly group rehearsals where they learn their favorite songs, fostering teamwork and the joy of playing in a band. Rock 101 students will perform their songs in our annual concert.
Complementing the band rehearsals are their normal weekly group lessons, where they will learn the foundational music skills.
At Miss Emily's Music School, we make learning music an enjoyable and rewarding experience, inspiring young musicians to find their rhythm and rock out with confidence!

THE EXPLORATION METHOD
The Exploration Method at Miss Emily's Music School is a unique approach designed to engage young learners and foster a deep, lasting love for music.
This method emphasizes hands-on, interactive experiences that encourage children to explore various instruments, rhythms, and musical styles. By creating a fun and supportive environment, we help students build confidence, creativity, and a solid foundation in music.

Your child chooses which instrument they want to learn. They will have a weekly group lesson for that instrument where they learn the foundations of that instrument to prepare them for Band Rehearsals.
In addition to their weekly group lesson, they will have a weekly band rehearsal with their very own band.
Students are given a Rock Star name, they name their band, and even create a band logo. -
Your child will learn the foundations of music through the instrument of their choice. They will learn how to read music, play their instrument, and how to work together as part of a team.

Rock 101 Bands will perform at our annual concert. There may be additional performance opportunities and those are announced as they come up.

ABSOLUTELY! Our curriculum is designed for every learning regardless of where they are at in their journey.

Our rock program includes weekly group lessons and group rehearsals, and features full access to the facilities at any time—even if students just want to hangout. Rock 101 costs $150 per month.
